Teaching Studio

It is my honor and privilege to help my students achieve their musical goals.

My teaching philosophy is centered on developing well-rounded musicians who not only build strong technical and musical skills but also discover the joy of making music. I strive to help each student gain confidence, experience the satisfaction of personal achievement, challenge themselves to reach new levels of excellence, and develop a lifelong love of music. Most importantly, I aim to make every lesson to be both rewarding and enjoyable.

Students of all ages and levels are welcome in my studio. I also offer instruction in recorder and beginning piano.

Private lessons are available in my teaching studios in Ramsey and Haskell, New Jersey.

For students outside my local area, I offer private flute lessons worldwide via Zoom or FaceTime. Whether you are looking for ongoing instruction, preparing for a recital, competition, or audition, or simply seeking guidance from an experienced teacher, online lessons provide an engaging and effective learning experience.

Teaching is one of the greatest joys of my professional life. Sharing my love of music and the flute with students is a privilege, and I am deeply committed to helping each student grow as both a musician and an individual. I tailor my instruction to each student's unique goals, abilities, and learning style, creating a positive and encouraging environment where they can thrive.

To enrich their musical education, I encourage students to participate in their school band programs, for adult students to participate in town community bands, to attend New Jersey Flute Choir Day each spring, to perform in occasional student ensemble outreach concerts at local nursing homes, and to participate in my annual student recital each June. These experiences help students build confidence, develop performance skills, and become part of a supportive musical community.

In addition to private instruction, I also offer coaching for student and amateur chamber ensembles.
